As part of the "Crude Hints" series of events, I joined a tour of John Soane Museum led by Architect David Chipperfield where he discussed both the importance of the collection and architecture of the museum. Chipperfield described the space as uniquely contradictory. It offers experiencing Soane's obsession in the classics, inside a playful interior that embraces concepts of modern architecture.
